St. George Jacobite Syrian Cathedral,Karingachira, Cochin
Karingachira Cathedral is situated to the east of Cochin city, 1.5 Km east of Tripunithura and 250m west of Hill Palace.
Church is in the Diocese of Cochin under H.G. Joseph Mar Gregorios Metropolitan selected by Diocesan assembly and consecrated by H.H.
St. George Perunnal was known as 'Kozhipperunnal' because poultry (cocks and hen) was the main offering item for the celebration. On this occasion people will conduct procession to the nearbyt shrines. After that there will be a feast (treat) for more than 12,000 persons.
