Amalappuzha Sree Krishna Temple



AMBALAPUZHA SREE KRISHNA TEMPLE is one of the major temples of Kerala. Among Krishna temple it is having unique status just like Guruvayoor temple.

Lord Krishna is worshipped here as ‘ Parthasarathy ’ but ardent devotees see the full spirit of Krishna embodiment at Ambalapuzha in various form. This temple is famous for Palpayasam, a divine nivedyam.

Ashtamirhini in Chingam(August), Navarathri Pooja in Kanni( September), Panthrandu Kalabham in Makaram(January) (Makaram 1t o12 th ), Sankara Narayana Kalolsavam is a part of Kalabham and Thiruvulsavam in Meenam(March-April) are the main celebrations.

Devotees can come over to Ambalpuzha though train and bus. There is a railway station near temple just ½ kilometer northwest portion . Ambalapuzha main junction is at National Highway, one and half Km westwards to temple.
