Kollam Police
The present district of Kollam exends to over three police subdivisions, covering a total area of 2,492 sq km and with a population of 25,84,118.
Kollam district police consists of three police subdivisions, fourteen police circles and thirty two police stations and a Hi-tech Costal Police Station situated in Neendakara.
The district has also a full fledged Armed Reserve. The total strength of the district police including the civilian staff comes to 2345.
District Special Branch is functioning under direct control of Superintendent of Police, Kollam. The main work of this unit is intelligence collection.
