Kolhapur Mahalakshmi Temple is located at Kolhapur in Maharashtra. This temple is a very popular temple dedicated to Goddess Mahalaxmi and is visited by people from all over the country.

Kolhapur Mahalaxmi temples is one of the Shakthi Peethas listed in the ancient Hindu Puranas. The temple first built in the 7th century is constructed in the Kannada Chalukya architecture.

Kirnotsav is a festival of the Mahalakshmi Temple Kolhapur, which is celebrated when the sun rays fall directly on the deity's Mahalakshmi idol at the time of sunset on 31st January and 9th November (The suns rays falls directly on the feet of the deity), 1st February & 10th November (Sun rays fall directly on the chest of the deity) and 2nd February & 11th November (Sun rays fall directly on the entire body of the deity.)
