Vallikkavu
 Vallikkavu is the head quarters of Matha Amrithanandamayi Madom. Mata Amritananda Mayi was born in a fisherman's family in Kollam. The Vallikkavu ashram, now called Amritandanmayi Math was started in 1981 as a soul-soothing spiritual tourism spot. The trust has built 25,000 houses for the poor in 12 Indian States.
