Sri Chitra Art Gallery established in 1935 has a century old world famous paintings of Raja Ravi Varma as star attraction in its display.

Located near the Napier museum, the Sri Chitra Art Gallery of Trivandrum is an art lover's paradise.

The Art Gallery has on view various genres of paintings. There are sections on contemporary Indian art, one on the paintings by Raja Ravi Varma, miniature paintings from the Mughal and Rajasthani schools, Persian, Chinese and Japanese art and copies of murals which embellished the walls of many temples and palaces in Kerala.

Antiques and curios once owned by Travancore royal lineage are showed at Sree Chitra Art Gallery. The gallery has a collection of painting miniatures belonging to the Rajput and Mughal eras.
