The Mahatma Gandhi University College of Engineering, Thodupuzha,managed and run by Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, is the first of its kind in the state of Kerala. B.Tech. degree courses are offered here.The courses have an annual intake of 60 each.
The college started functioning in 1996, several batches of students have passed out till date. The college campus is located in a picturesque place spread over 25 acres of land at Muttom, 7 km from Thodupuzha, by the side of State Highway No 33. Within a short span of time, the institute has offered high quality technical education, producing engineers with a knowledge and skill fulfilling the needs of industry and Research & Development organizations.
The departments have qualified and experienced faculty of national repute and proven capabilities in various disciplines. All the departments have adequate and fully equipped laboratories. The academic performance of the students has been excellent who bag most of the ranks in the University examinations.
