Kuthiramalika Palace Museum, Trivandrum
Kuthiramalika Palace Museum built by Maharaja Swathi Tirunal Balarama Varma, the King of Travancore, the palace is a fine example of the traditional Travancore style embellished with exquisite woodcarvings.
Kuthiramalika Palace Museum is situated on the South East side of Sree Padmanabha Swami Temple. The palace got its name because of the shape of horses’ heads carvings on the exterior walls.
The palace museum displays various painting collections of the royal family. An annual classical music festival also held here between 27th January and 3rd February.
It is adjacent to Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple at East Fort in Thiruvananthapuram.
