Peppara
 Peppara Wildlife Sanctuary is a beautiful forest area situated 50 km from Thiruvananthapuram on the way to Ponmudi. It consists of part of Palode reserve and part of Kottoor reserve. There are 13 tribal settlements in this area. There are many animals in this sanctury including elephants, barking deer, mouse deer, wild boar, tiger, panther and Nilgiri langur. Many types of snakes like King Cobra and Python are also present here.
