Kerala Kala MandalamKerala Kala Mandalam is situated at Cheruthuruthi on the banks of Bharathapuzha, 30 km from Thrissur. Kalamandalam was established by Mahakavi Vallathol Narayana Menon in 1930. Keralakalamandalam is the premier Center of excellence in Indian Performing Arts emphasizing especially on the traditions that developed in the State of Kerala, in the south west coast of India. The ancient gurukula system of education continues to be a living tradition in this school. Kalamandalam imparts training in and conducts performances of Kathakali, Koodiyattam , Thullal and Mohiniyattam.
