Guruvayoor TempleGuruvayoor Temple is the most famous Sree Krishna Temple in South India. Guruvayoor Temple is Located 29 km north-west of Thrissur. Guruvayur is also called the Bhoolokavaikunta - the heaven on Earth! Guruvayur is the place for weddings and Annaprasanam, the first feeding ceremony of a child, for many people. Only Hindus are allowed inside the temple. The walls of the sanctum sanctorum are inlaid with exquisite mural paintings and carvings. 'Guruvayoor Ekadasi' is conducted during the months of November-December. The Temple Opens at 3.00 AM. Temple will be closed between 12.30 and 4.30PM and Reopens At 4.30 PM till 10.00 PM.
