Ethakka Mezhukkupuratti

Ethakkai Mezhukkupuratti is a tasty mezhukkupuratti. Very easy to prepare with a wonderful taste. Ingredients Ethakkai (Raw plantain) - 2 Shallots (Small Onions) - 15 - 20 Dry red chillies - 10 Oil As required Salt As required Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp Method Cut the plantains into 1 cm thick rectangle pieces. Place them in a vessel along with turmeric powder and salt and cook, till done and all the water content gets evaporated. Crush the shallots. Grind the dry red chillies in a mixer grinder. Heat oil in a pan and add the crushed shallots and sauté along with the crushed red chillies. Add a little salt and sauté till they turn translucent. Add the cooked plantain and mix well. Add more oil, if required and mix well. Saute till the plantains turn crispy.
