NSS College, Pandalam

N.S.S. College, Pandalam is one of the premier institutions of higher education managed by Nair Service Society, a leading educational agency and a social organization.

The college started functioning as a second grade college in the year 1950 offering intermediate courses of the University of Travancore. It was upgraded in 1952 with the introduction of B.Sc. course in Mathematics and B.A. course in Economics. More courses in the Degree and Post Graduate level were introduced in the successive years and at present, with a total of fourteen Degree courses and seven Post Graduate courses and the research programme in Zoology, it is accredited as a special grade Post Graduate college by the UGC.

Being an affiliated college to the University of Kerala, the college does not have an academic autonomy of an exclusive nature in selecting the curricular aspects. However, the faculty involves in the process of framing and formulating the curriculum through the representation in academic bodies constituted in the University level for the purpose.
