Mukesh Babu commonly known as Mukesh is a popular Malayali film actor and producer.
Mukesh (born Mukesh Babu) is the son of famous stage actor, director and drama troupe organiser, the late O. Madhavan. Mukesh’s mother Vijayakumari was also a popular stage actress and once winner of the Kerala State award for best stage actress.
He entered the Malayalam film industry through the movie Balloon in 1982. In 1985, he acted in Mutharamkunnu P.O. directed by Sibi Malayil, scripted by Sreenivasan with the story from Jagadeesh, which was noted.
His roles as a supporting actor along with Mammootty were acclaimed in movies such as Thaniyavarthanam, Dinarathrangal, Mahayanam, Hitler, Chronic Bachelor, Nair Saab, Sainyam and Sangham. He portrayed CBI officer Chacko in the four movies of CBI series directed by K. Madhu.
Mukesh shares close friendship with Mohanlal and has acted in films with him such as Hello My Dear: Wrong Number, Thalavattam, Vandanam, Akkare Akkare Akkare, Kakkakuyil and Boeing Boeing.
