Morning Star Home Science College Angamaly is a first grade college affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. The College had a very humble begining in 1963 with a two year Diploma course in Home Science.

A self financing B.Sc. Degree course in Home Science was started in 1968 affiliated
to Kerala University. When Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam was established
in 1983, the college came under the jurisdiction of this university.
The diploma courses in Home Science continues in another institute (Nazareth Home Science Institute)under the same management.

The college provide up date library facilities to the staff and students the books are scientifically classified and well stacked cataloguing and circulation sections are computerized. departments are linked with the library.

The students are provided computers without fees. Inter net and photocopying facilities are made available to the students at concession.
