Malayalam Pathram

January 1st 1991 was a landmark beginning for Chacko Publications. It marked the launch of Malayalam Pathram, a news weekly which has since then changed the face of news reporting.

It is the hub of the world of the Malayalees in America. With the intention of continuing the ancient culture of Kerala, its customs, mother-tongue and food habits despite living in a totally Western country with Western ideals, a typical Malayalee has to literally fight to establish himself in this new land.

Many a time during this struggle, he loses his Malayalee identity and adopts everything foreign. Pretty soon, he becomes an Americanised Indian.

Malayalam Pathram, a Malayalam paper which provides an open window of the latest information from Kerala. This lightning transmission of news allows the American Malayalee to remain connected to his native land and mother tongue.

Malayalam Pathram transcends and crosses the barrier of the International date Line by transmitting news promptly.
