Jet Airways

Jet Airways was a major Indian international airline that operated from 1993 to 2019. It was headquartered in Mumbai and operated domestic and international flights to 21 destinations within India and numerous destinations abroad.

The airline was founded in 1992 by Naresh Goyal and began operations in 1993 as an air taxi operator. Jet Airways quickly expanded its services and became a full-service airline by 1995. In 2004, the airline became the first privately-owned Indian carrier to operate long-haul flights to London Heathrow.

In 2019, the airline was grounded due to a financial crisis, and all of its operations were suspended. The airline was eventually declared bankrupt in June 2020.

In October 2021, it was announced that a consortium led by Murari Lal Jalan and London-based Kalrock Capital would take over Jet Airways and restart its operations. The new owners plan to relaunch the airline with a fleet of 25 aircraft and gradually expand its operations.
