Pavakka Mezhukkupuratti
is a tasty dish easy to prepare with onion and coconut slices.

Ingredients:
Pavakka (Bitter Gourd) : 2 nos
Onion (Large) - 1 no
Green Chillies - 2 nos (Cut legth wise at the bottom only)
Coconut slices - 1/2 cup
Oil - 4 tbsp
Turmeric Powder (optional) - 1/4 tsp
Salt - as required |

Method:
Cut Pavakka length wise. Slice the onions
thin.
Pour oil into a hard bottomed pan and add Pavakka and Onion slices,
along with green chillies and coconut slices.
Add salt and turmeric powder. Cook covered on low flame for about 2
minutes.
Open the lid and cook on low flame, for another 5-6 minutes, until the
rawness of the vegetable disappears.
Mezhukkupuratti is ready to be served with Rice.
