Pacha Cheera Thoran

Pacha Cheera Thoran - Healthy thoran dish made using Green Cheera. Ingredients Cheera(Spinach) leaves-5 cups Coconut-1/2 of one (grated) Green chillies-3 nos Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp Cumin seeds(Jeerakam)-1/2 tsp Coconut oil-3 tbsp Garlic pods-4 nos Dry red chillies(Kollamulaku)-2 nos Plain rice(Pachari/Puzhukkalari)-2 tsp Mustard seeds-1 tsp Salt-As reqd Curry leaves-A few Method 1)Clean the leaves well and chop it finely. 2)Grind together coconut, turmeric powder, green chillies, cumin seeds, garlic and curry leaves into a coarse form. :- Do not add water while grinding. 3)Mix together the chopped cheera along with the coconut mixture and salt. 4)Heat oil in a pan or a kadai. 5)Splutter mustard seeds and saute dry red chillies, rice and curry leaves. 6)Add the cheera-coconut mixture and mix well. 7)Cover and cook on a low flame for about 1-2 mins. 9)Remove the lid and continue cooking till done on a low flame itself.
