| Mathi
Curry is a traditional fish dish which is healthy and tasty.
Ingredients:
Sardines - 30
Coriander Powder - 2 dsp
Chilli Powder- 2 tsp
Pepper- 1/4th tsp
Cummin seeds- 1/4th tsp
Garlic- 10 cloves
Ginger- 1 small piece
Mustard- 1/4th tsp
Turmeric-1 piece
Onion, finely sliced- 1 cup
Green chillies- 6
Grated Coconut- 3/4th cup
Coconut oil- 2 oz
Vinegar- 2dsp
Curry leaves
Method:
Grind Coriander, Cumin seed, Pepper,
Garlic, Ginger, Mustard and Turmeric together and the coconut
separately.
Place a Pan on fire, heat the oil and
fry a little of the finely sliced onions, and then add the Ground
masala and saute.
Add the remaining onions, curry leaves
and green chillies and saute again.
Put in the cleaned fish with vinegar and
salt to taste.
Mix well, cover the pan and allow it to
simmer till cooked.
Open the lid and add the ground coconut
mixed to thick consistency with water, and remove from fire..
