Munnar is a famous hill station in Kerala. This place attracts a lot of tourists during seasons.

Munnar is located in the Idukki district of Kerala. Munnar means the confluence of three rivers namely Mudhirapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundaly rivers. Munnar town is situated on the Kannan Devan Hills village in Devikulam taluk.

Munnar has several protected reserve areas to protect this area from human habitation and preserve the natural species like Kurinjimala Sanctuary, the Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary, Manjampatti Valley and the Amaravati reserve forest of Indira Gandhi Wildlife Sanctuary, the Eravikulam National Park and Anamudi Shola National Park, the Pampadum Shola National Park and the proposed Palani Hills National Park.

Munnar also has many hotels and resorts for tourists stay in the hill station.
