Payippad Onam Boat Race 2012 Exclusive Photo Gallery. Alappuzha District Payippad Boat Race happens during the Onam days every year. It is a three day event. Paippad is located near Haripad, about 35 km from Alappuzha.

The boat race starts on the Thiruvonam day in the Malayalam month of Chingam. The first day of the boat race is by children. Second day is the Ghosha yatra and the third day Chathayam is the actual Boat race.

Paippad Vallom Kali is one of the oldest boat race in Kerala.
