Major Ravi is known for Malayalam films based on war like Kurukshetra and Keerthichakra. Acting in these two films even fetched Mohanlal the Leut Colonel title. Director Ravi's upcoming film is Kandahar.

This Trilingual movie will be made available simultaneously in Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu. Director has casted Mohanlal, Amithab Bachan and Surya in the film.

Amitabh Bachchan doing a cameo role in this flick has confirmed his participation. He will work for free. The scope of Malayalam film is known and his remuneration may be bigger than the total budget of film. Ananya has been chosen as heroine in Kandahar.
