Say I love you this Valentine's Day

Before you start to read this article know that this is not only meant for lovers but also applicable to husband and wife.

It is important to say I Love You with both passion and frequency. But you shouldn't depend on those three little words alone to let your love know what's in your heart. Fact is, nonverbal displays of affection are often a better way to get through to the man/woman in your life.

We can say I love you, not only with our words but with our actions, with our facial expressions and body language, even with our thoughts. Strengthening your relationship can help you overcome fear of intimacy, develop close connections, & spice up your love life.

I have used the words, 'he' and 'she' interchangeably here. This list contains some new methods of saying your 'one and only' what's in your heart. The following ideas are not gender specific.

1) Write down ten favorite memories of your life spent together so far. Invite your partner to add to it, also share special ideas for your future.

2) Give her 8 roses, each with a letter on them so they spell I Love You.

3) Borrow a parrot and teach it to say I love you to her.

4) Make a collection featuring the songs that have been important in your relationship. Get it playing while you are not around.

5) Stash a love note in his shoe.

6) Serve her breakfast in bed.

7) Say it in a foreign language.

Spanish=te quero
French=je t'aime
German= ich liebe dich
Dutch= ik hou van jou
Italian=ti amo
Arabic= ohibouk

8) Light candles at dinnertime.

9) Get a tattoo (or a fake one) that says I love so-and-so.

10) Write her a love letter and mail it.

11) Spoil her with love

12) Yell out I love you to hear it echo around you.

13) Yell out I love you just near traffic island.

14) Plan a picnic on the beach. Sneak off and write I love you in the sand before taking your lover.

Find creative places to write I Love You. In ice cream, or carved into the side of an apple etc.

When she gets back home after travel or hectic work, give her a small gift for every day she has been away. Set them on the dining table and wait for her to notice them. Things like her favorite perfume, snacks, fresh flowers or a cool piece of jewelry.

When you take a shower at night, write messages on the fogged-up mirrors so they appear when he takes a shower in the morning before he goes to work.

Lasting intimacy comes from an everyday appreciation and a reverence for the moments you spend in the company of your partner.

Guys tend to be action-oriented, so they feel less comfortable using words to express emotions. As they've seen enough Hollywood movies to know they're supposed to always say 'I love you'.

Hold on and think before you say I love you. Don't say it, if you don't mean it.

Best wishes for Valentine's Day and after.
