Sankaranum Mohananum is T.V. Chandran's first commercial venture. Jayasurya appears in 20 different get ups in this movie, produced by Prem Prakash and Raju Mallyath, under the banner Prakash Movietone and Ragam Movies. The movie would be released by Century Films.

T.V. Chandran is famous with his critically-acclaimed films such as Ponthanmada, Mankamma, Ormakal Undaayirikkanam, Susanna, Danny, and Padam Onnu: Oru Vilaapam.

Jayasurya play the role of Sankaran and Mohanakrishnan. Mohanakrishnan is a fashion photographer in Kochi. He was earlier in Mumbai and was married to a model Jyothsna Mathew, played by Rima Kallingal. They got separated and she lives in Mumbai with their child.

Mohanan's elder brother Shankaran, who is a school teacher in Malabar, gets married to a much younger girl, Rajalakshmi, enacted by Meera Nandan. Unfortunately he dies the next day due to a snake bite. Sankaran's ghost haunts Mohanakrishnan from then on.

Sankaran's love for his wife and the love less life of his brother are depicted in the film. Sankaran's ghost appears in different get ups before his brother.

Pradeep Nair handles camera, while Isaac Thomas Kottukappilly and Mohan Sithara scores music.

Lalu Alex, Suraaj Venjaramood, Sudheesh, Bijukuttan, Indrans, Kochupreman, Ambika, Rosilin, and Sivaji Guruvayur are also in the cast.

The film is laced with humour and is expected to entertain viewers.
