Sakudumbam Shyamala is an upcoming Malayalam flick starring Urvasi, Kuchacko Boban, and Bhama in the main roles. Saikumar, Nedumudi Venu, Lalu Alex and Suraj Venjaramoodu are the others in the cast.

Urvasi dons the title role as Shyamala. The popular comedy star Suraj Venjaramoodu will sing a song in the film Sakudumbam Shyamala. The film will be a family entertainer with importance to comedy as well.

Shyamala is a housewife who has a foolish nature and Kuchcko Boban plays the role as her son Akash. Saikumar will be in the role of Shyamala's husband Vasudevan and Bhama plays the role of her daughter-in-law Anjali.

The story goes on like this. Shyamala was not good at studies and fails in her Predegree examination. Her family, especially her brother Sekharan loves her a lot. They fix her marriage with an American guy, but he wanted Shyamala to pass the Pre Degree for the marriage to happen. So Shyamala's family admits her in a parallel college.

Things become different when Shyamala falls in love with Vasudevan, a Malayalam tutor in the college and marries him. Her family abandons her. Now Shymala is the mother of a 25 year old son.

Shyamala's biggest dream is her 25 year old son's marriage to the daughter of any rich American Malayali. Akash is a video editor in a channel, while Vasudevan is an employee in the Collectorate, while Shyamala's brother is the District Collector. She tries to win over her brother who is angry with her for her love marriage to Vasudevan.

The story takes a turn when Shyamala gets a chance to become a MLA and a Minister. Many rich people come forward to have their daughter's married to Akash. All of Shyamala's dreams lies shattered when Akash marries a girl of his wishes, Anjali, a TV anchor. The battle begins at home between Shyamala and Anjali. The story is really humorous.

Sakudumbam Shyamala is expected to release on July 23.
