Ramaravanan is an upcoming Malayalam film starring Suresh Gopi in the pivotal role. The film is based on the novel 'Manomi' by Madhavi Kutty. Ramaravanan depicts issues of Srilankan Tamils and has attracted controversy from many sections.

The novel Manomi is about a Sinhala girl Manomi who falls in love with a Srilankan Tamilan, Thiruselvan. Suresh Gopi plays Thiruselvan while Mithra Kurien plays the role of Manomi.

When the war between the Tamilians and Sinhalese broke out, Annadurai flees to India with his family. Manomi, who loses her father in the attack of Tamil tigers, seeks asylum in Annadurai’s home. The whole family except Annadurai hates the Sinhalese Manomi.

An LTTE man Thiruselvan reaches Annadurai's house on a mission and falls in love with Manomi. He knows the girl's background, but cannot move away from her.

Nedumudi Venu, Sudheesh, Lena, Vijayakumar, Biju Menon, Jagathy, Baburaj Suraj and Krishna play the other roles in the film. The film is shot in Thenkasi and Srilanka.
