Despite having many releases recently, Dileep only had two hits, debutante Renjith Shankar’s Passenger and Deepu’s Crazy Gopalan. It may be the reason why the actor seems to be interested in working with debutantes.
Dileep will star in a movie directed by debutant Thomson. He is also producing debut directorial venture of Vineeth Sreenivasan.

After his journo role in Calcutta News, Dileep is preparing to don the same role in the movie to be directed by P. Sukumar titled Swa. Le. Scripted by Kalavoor Ravikumar this film will be jointly produced by Madhu warrier and P. Sukumar under the banner of Color Factory.

After the successful Passenger, actress-singer Mamta Mohandas will again team with Dileep in his forthcoming Malayalam film to be directed by Kamal and produced by Mathew. This comic thriller is jointly written by Kalavoor Ravikumar and Kamal. It has Tamil actor Sathyaraj playing an important role. The shooting will start on August 17 in Ooty. Dileep started his film career as an assistant director to Kamal.

Dileep will star with Priyamani for the first time in his career. The star will be seen together in the movie ‘Master’ directed by Sandhya Mohan and produced by Radha Krishnan, Doha. Master will hit the floors by the year end and is expected to be released in the first half of 2010.

The movie 'Pappy Appacha' will be directed by debutante Mammas Chandran who was an associate to Shafi and Rafi Mecartin. In Pappy Appacha Innocent will don the character of Dileep’s father.

He is currently working with director Siddique in Bodyguard which stars Nayantara opposite him.
