Chemistry : A movie about friendship

After a long silence director Viji Thampy has announced his new film, Chemistry.

Chemistry as the name suggests is a campus film in which five heroines play main characters. Saranya Mohan and Shilpa Bala have been finalized as two of them; Krishna B Vijay, Devaki, Drishya are the other girls in the movie. Chemistry, narrates the story of strong bonding among five girls in a campus.

The film tells about a group five pupils in a well known school. Three of them, Gowri, Aleena and Sindhu commit suicide. This incident gives a shock to the students, teachers and local people. No one, including their close friends, knows the reason behind the suicide of the girls.

Vodaphone Thakadhimi anchors Akarsh and Midhun are the heroes.

Saranya Mohan, who is a Malayali, got introduced in Tamil through Yaradee Nee Mohini as the sister of Nayantara. She got noticed for her innocent looks and naughty song with Dhanush which was a re mix of the old hit Palakkattu pakkathile oru appavi raja. Saranya is lately getting compared to Subramanypuram heroine as both have natural look.

Shilpabala is the actress, who made her debut with a double role in the Sohanlal-directed Orkkuka Vallappozhum.

Other roles in Chemistry are donned by Mukesh, Manoj K. Jayan, Jagathy Sreekumar, Siddique, Ashokan etc.

Sanjeev Shankar wields camera for Chemistry. Bichu Thirumala has penned the lyrics and M.Jaya Chandran has scored the music. Angamali is the main location.

Avittam Thirunal Aarogya Shriman, Simhavaalan Menon, Janam, Journalist and Kunukkitta Kozhi are some of the movies made by Viji Thampy.
