Jagadeesh who has written many hit films is back with his mighty pen. Originally titled Ladies and Gentleman, this film features Siddique as the protagonist.

The movie directed by Viji Thamby tells the hilarious events created by friends, in the life of high profile businessman Rakesh Menon played by Siddique. The duo Jagadeesh and Siddique were seen together in several hit comedies of the 90's.

Jagadheesh, Biju Menon and Jagathy will appear as the friend of Siddique in the movie.

Director has rechristened the movie as April fool. April fool will introduce Bangalore based model Nayana as the heroine. Maithili will be the other heroine.

The film will also feature Indrans, K P A C Lalitha, Manoj K Jayan and Maniyanpillai Raju in other notable roles.

Gireesh Puthenchery, the lyricist and M Jayachandran, the musician will handle the song section while Sanjeev Shankar will be in charge of the camera.

April fool is produced under the banner Damor Cinema by Santhosh Damodharan and Ajayachandran Nair. April fool, whose shooting is developing at Chitranjali studios in Thiruvananthapuram, is expected to reach the theatres as a Christmas release.
