Suresh Gopi represents the angry young man in Malayalam films. Suresh is famous for police officer characters in which no other actor can beat him.

Seeing the commercial potential of many Suresh Gopi films like Commissioner, Bharath Chandran IPS, Pathram, Chinthamani Kola Case; they were dubbed into Telugu and were made huge hits in Andra Pradesh.

He is the actor with the maximum number of Malayalam films dubbed to Telugu. Telgu audience like this actor’s screen presence and impactful dialogue delivery.

Suresh Gopi’s first Telung film was Antima Theerpu in 1988 in which he donned the role of a news reporter.

Now after two decades, superstar Suresh Gopi is acting in his second straight Telugu film, titled Aa Okkadu.

Suresh Gopi is playing a crucial role in this film directed by debutant M.S. Murthy with Ajay and Madhurima in the lead. M.S Murthy has assisted directors like Chandrasekhar, Yeleti etc.

Aa Okkadu is a suspense thriller with a gripping screenplay which revolves around seven interesting characters featuring Nazar and Sunil in the supporting cast. Mani Sharma has scored the music.

This film was earlier scheduled to begin in 2008 but was delayed. Most part of the shooting was completed. The film is expected to hit theatres in early May.

Film is produced by Ganapati Raju Indukuri under the banner of Tolly 2 Holly. Tolly 2 Holly was a well-known movie distributor and this is their first attempt into film production, they plan to make a series of films in corporate manner.

Producers are hoping to cash in the film in Kerala too. Suresh Gopi is currently busy with some Malayalam films; debutant pair Fazil and Jayakrishnan's Kanchipurathe Kalyanam, and Ajmal's investigative thriller Ring Tone, starring Navneet Kaur opposite him.
