Thiruvambadi Thamban is an upcoming Jayaram movie. The story is based on elephants. Jayaram has already played leading roles in the Elephant related stories like Pattabhishekam and Anachandam. His love for Elephants is well known.

Kannada actress Haripriya makes her debut to Mollywood in this film, playing the role of the heroine. Thambi Ramaiah, Kishore, Kalabhavan Mani, Suraaj Venjaramood, Nedumudi Venu, and Jagathy Sreekumar are the members of the cast.

Ouseppachan composes music for Thiruvambadi Thamban. Songs are tuned by M. Jayachandran. Manoj Pillai is the cinematographer.

Jayaram plays the role of an elephant contractor, Thiruvambadi Mathan Tharakan, in this film. Mathan Tharakan brings elephants from Bihar to Kerala. The film tries to bring out the problems faced by the elephant contractors. Jagathy Sreekumar plays the role of Jayaram's father, while Nedumudi Venu is his brother-in-law.
