Shaji Kailas has started preparation for his movie which was titled Raman Police. The movie will have Mohanlal in the lead role.

Shaji will complete a movie with Mammootty in the lead role before attempting Mohanlal.

After playing a soft spoken IPS officer in Baba Kalyani directed by Shaji Kailas, Malayalam super star Mohanlal has tailored a khakhi uniform for another Police officer in Raman Police, scripted by A.K. Sajan.

Interestingly Mohanlal’s last outing with Shaji was the unforgettable Red Chillies.

Raman Police is an attempt of Shaji to bring to life another super human police officer character. This movie which is expected to release during Onam 2010 has a big budget.
Shaji is presently involved with the shooting of his Prithviraj starrer movie Raghupathy Raghava Rajaram, at the locations of Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi and Kozhikode. Raghupathi, Raghav and Rajaram are the names of Prithviraj's three characters who lives in these three cities.
