Race is the forthcoming film of Kunchacko Boban directed by Kuku Surendran. Mamta Mohandas plays the heroine. Race is a family thriller, laced with action.

Jose K George and Shaji Mecheri produce Race under the banner Penta Vision. Kuku Surendran and Robin Thirumala writes the script for Race. Viswajith composes music for the lyrics of Vayalar Sarathchandra Varma and Rajeev Nair.

Kunchacko Boban plays the role of Dr. Aby John, a young Cardiologist. Dr. Aby has a super specialty hospital in the city. He is married to Niya (Mamtha Mohandas) and has a five year old daughter, Achu. In spite of being a busy medical practitioner, he is a very caring husband and a father too.

The story takes a turn when Dr. Aby returns home after a conference in Bangalore. Aby becomes absconding in between his journey. C.I Vijay Shaker is appointed to investigate Eby's disappearance. Race is actually a race against time and all odds.

Paleri Manikyam fame Gowri Munjal acts opposite to Indrajith in the film.

Cinematography is by Pramod Varma. Indrajith, Jagathy Sreekumar, Sreejith Ravi, Chembil Ashokan, Manu Jose, Manikandan, Gowri Munjal, Geetha Vijayan and Baby Ankitha are in the leading cast.

Red One Media Lab will release Race. Race will hit theatres in 2011.
