In the movie, Dileep dresses as Mayamohini under unavoidable circumstances. The story revolves around Balakrishnan who is an innocent man and has only one friend who is elder to him named Lakshmi Narayanan. Balakrishnan's business get shattered and he and his friend start their search for a suitable alliance for Balakrishnan. According to the astrologers, Balakrishnan has to marry a girl born in Chothi nakshatram and they find Mayamohini.

Biju Menon dons the role of Balakrishnan and Babu Raj plays Lakshmi Narayanan. Mythili and Lakshmi Rai are the female leads in Mayamohini. Vijayaraghavan, Baburaj, Kala Bhavan Sha John, Kochu Preman, Unni Krishnan Namboothiri, Madhu Warrier, Mohan Sharma, Santhosh, Balachandran Chullikad are the others in the cast.
