Mammootty's upcoming movie Thappana will hit screens for Eid. Directed by Johny Antony, Thappana has Charmi opposite Mammootty. Milan Jaleel of Galaxy Films produces the flick.

M. Sindhuraj has written the story. Murali Gopi, Vijayaraghavan, Suresh Krishna, Mala Aravindan, Ponnamma Babu, Sajitha Betti, Kalabhavan Shajon, Sadiq and Anil Murali are also in the cast.

Thappana is a comedy entertainer. The film features Mammootty and Charmi as two convicts. Mammootty's character always fight for justice for others and ends up in jail. Once he spots his teenage love, Mallika (Charmi) also released from jail. He see it as his responsibility to escort her home. But she refuses to utter a word throughout the journey, but Samson finds her life a complicated one.

Thappana has completed shooting and is under post production stage. The film will hit screens for Eid.
