Debutant pair Fazil and Jayakrishnan’s directorial venture Kanchipurathe Kalyanam starring Suresh Gopi and Mukesh in the lead is progressing in Ottapalam. Its other location is Tenkasi which is the lucky location for many Malayalam films. Punjabi beauty Navneet Kaur is the heroine in this comedy flick.

Laughter and marriages in Thenkasi has made money for producers, distributors and theatres many times in Malayalam. The Suresh Gopi starrer Thenkasipattanam is a grand example, which can be counted with the greatest hits in Malayalam and has run for a year in theatres.

Fazil and Jayakrishnan is playing safe with the much repeated premise, which shows there will be nothing unique in this film. The film can work if it can create laughter in theatres at regular intervals.
This will be the comedy film after Suresh Gopi’s Heylassa. Can Mukesh and Suresh Gopi bring in audience will be a question mark. Navaneet Kaur is expected to bring in youth. Films like this have the potential to be successful if completed timely and in budget.

The story revolves around two brother-in-laws, Rajeev Menon by Suresh Gopi and Pattaramadam Najeeb by Mukesh.

They run an event management company. The story gets interesting when they reach Kanchipuram to organize a wedding. From there a series of interesting events begin.

The story is by the director duo and screenplay is by J. Pallassery. Sanjeev Sankar wields the camera.

Others in the cast are Jagathy Sreekumar, Innocent, Suraaj Venjaramoodu, Salim Kumar and Saiju Kurup.
Saiju Kurup has lately changed his name to Anirudh due to numerological reasons, and is seen in many films like Parunth and Choclate as the groom who eventually looses his bride.

We can expect the same in here too. Tamil actor Thyagarajan will play a vital role in this film. M. Jayachandran has scored music, lyrics are penned by Vayalar Sarath Chandra Varma.

Kanchipurathe Kalyanam is produced by Soman Pallaat in the banner Jyothirgamaya.

Planned to be a laugh riot, this film will hit theatres soon.
