Munnar is a favorite location of the tourists during summer. Munnar is an ideal place for trekking. Mattupetty Lake and Dam is a beautiful picnic spot in Munnar.

Munnar is blessed with Neelakurinji which will blossom once in 12 years only. The flowering season comes between August and November and peak in late September and October. The latest bloom occured in 2006 and the next is expected in 2018.
