Beach is one of the most popular tourist spot in the district of Alapuzha.
This is a scenic beach which is clean and beautiful. The beach has some
entertainment facilities like Vijaya Beach Park and an old light house.
The pier which extends into the sea is about 140 years old. It was
constructed by Captain Huge Crawford and served as a platform that
provided access and protection to ships and boats.
Alappuzha Beach is considered to be one of the most beautiful beaches in
India. Alappuzha Beach is 5 km from Alappuzha railway station and 90 km
from the Kochi International Airport. The beach as well as Alleppey is
well connected by a wide network of roads and the beach is easily
accessible from anywhere in the city.
Alleppey beach which encompasses the shoreline of Arabian Sea is a
mesmerizing place with scarlet sunsets and silver stretches of sand edged
by swaying palm trees. The beach offers ideal ambience for picnics. The
beach has boating facilities, a childrens park and toy train for kids.
Today, Alappuzha and its beach are a big attraction for tourists.
