It is believed that Lord Krishna killed the demon Narakasura on this day, symbolizing the <strong>victory of good over evil<\/strong>. Vishu also marks the sun\u2019s transit into the zodiac sign of Aries, signifying the <strong>harvest season and cosmic renewal<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Vishukkani: The Auspicious Sight<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the most sacred rituals of Vishu is witnessing the <strong>Vishukkani<\/strong>\u2014a beautifully arranged display of items like rice, fruits, vegetables, gold ornaments, a mirror, betel leaves, flowers (especially <em>Konna poovu<\/em>), and the idol or image of Lord Krishna. All these are placed in a <strong>uruli (traditional brass vessel)<\/strong>, lit with oil lamps.
