Koottikkal
Koottikkal is a beautiful tourist place in the forest situated in the western ghats 5 km from Mundakkayam in Kottayam District. There are streams and waterfalls in the surrounding places. The artificial lake created in the Manimala river by the Check-dam and the waterfalls at Vadakkemala near Koottikkal are the peculiarities of this place. Rubber plantation is a prime crop in Koottikkal valley. The old-world charm of British Plantations is still around with purity of village life.
