Chembu Pulissery

Chembu Pulissery is a different pulissery recipe and it tastes excellent with rice. Ingredients Chembu - 5 nos Turmeric powder - 3/4 tsp Curd - 1 1/2 cups Lemon juice - A little Salt - As reqd Mustard seeds - 1 tsp Curry leaves - 1 sprig Dried red chillies(Kollamulaku) - 2 nos Water - 2 cups For grinding: Grated coconut - 1 cup Dried red chillies(Kollamulaku) - 3 nos Cumin seeds(Jeerakam) - 1 tsp Black peppercorns - 1 tsp Method 1)Whip the curd well. 2)Add some lemon juice to it and keep aside for 30 mins. 3)Peel the chembu and cut it into 2 inch pieces. 4)Cook the chembu in water along with salt and turmeric, until the pieces are soft. 5)Add the ground paste to this and let it boil. 6)Add the whipped curd and stir well. 7)Turn off the heat immediately. :- Do not let it boil, after adding the curd. 8)Heat a little oil in another pan. 9)Add mustard seeds and when they splutter, add dried red chillies and curry leaves and stir it once. 10)Pour this on top of the curry. :- Serve with steamed rice.
