Meenmutta Ularthiyathu - Recipe from Kochi Convent Junction Hotel
owned by Mr. Radhakrishnan. This recipe is taken from Vanitha -
Ruchiyude Thavalangal. Meenmutta (Pananjil) cooked and fried is very
tasty. King Fish Pananjil is used for this recipe.

Ingredients:
1. Meenmutta (Pananjil) - 1/2 kg
2. Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
3. Red Chilly Powder - 1 tsp
4. Masala powder - 1/2 tsp
5. Salt - as required
6. Kudum Puli (Kumkum Star) - 1
7. Ginger - 1" piece
8. Green Chilly - 2
9. Tomato - 2
10. Garlic - 5 cloves
11. Big Onion - 2 |

Method:
Clean the pananjil and cook it with
turmeric powder, salt, and kudam puli.
Heat coconut oil in a pan and add onion, green chilly, ginger, garlic
and tomato and saute for a while.
Add red chilly powder and masala and mix
well.
Add the cooked meenmutta and fry for some
more time until all the water disappears. (Ularthuka)
