Crispy Poori

Crispy Poori - Tasty, long lasting Puri recipe, ideal for travel purposes. Ingredients
  • Maida - 1 cup
  • Pepper half crushed - 1 tsp
  • Asafoetida - 1 pinch
  • Salt - As to taste
  • Water - As necessary for the dough
  • Oil - 1/2 tsp + Oil for frying
  • Ghee- 2 tbsp
  • Turmeric Powder - 1 pinch
Method Mix the salt with water. Mix all other ingredients well, before adding the salt water. Make a dough with out lumps. Make small balls from the dough, spread it into half cm thick pooris. Make small holes on this puris using a fork or toothpick. Keep them for half an hour with out one touching the other. Heat oil and fry the pooris. Store in air tight containers after cooling.
