Ranji Panikkar who has given life to Suresh Gopi to start his second innings in celluloid is back with the actor in Patram 2. Ten years after the release of Pathram, super hit director Renji Panikkar is molding the scenes in his work room.

Pathram
Pathram released in 1999 was one of the best political movies in Malayalam. It spot lighted the ferocious reporter taking on the news paper system and getting rid of its maladies.

This fast paced heroic tale overturned the impression of political drama. Renji integrated engrossing dialogues, zingy action, sentiments and satires for others to follow. Unlike the prequel which was directed by Joshi, the second part is directed by Ranji Panikkar himself.

Patram which was told in the backdrop of the newspaper industry had effective tag lines and performances by Suresh Gopi, Manju Warrier, N F Varghese and Biju Menon.

Pathram 2
Ranji Panikkar's Pathram 2 will unscramble the wicked Kerala politics and its savage means.

The sequel will feature Suresh Gopi in the lead, where his character will be lifted to the position of Managing Editor of a Daily. In the new movie, the uncompromising character will take on the state government.

The villain character will be played by Aashish Vidyarthi, who dons the character of state politician who was a former minister facing CBI investigation against a massive corruption scandal.

The movie will present a charade of the present state administration and will feature orotund dialogues.

Ranji Panikkar who is writing and directing the film is hoping that Pathram-2 will be racier than the prequel.

Manju warrior, former actress and wife of actor Dileep hasn’t acted in Twenty 20. Will she makes a comeback for this film is a question eagerly waiting to be answered.

A recent sequel 2 Harihar Nagar has done good business which gives confidence to the producers of the film.
