The film is directed by the debutant director Ummar Karikkad. Jagathy Sreekumar, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Amar Singh (Former General Secretary of Samajwadi Party), Dimple Kapadia, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Neelambari, Machan Varghese, Kochu Preman, Kottayam Nazeer, Kalasala Babu and Indrans play other leading roles in Bombay Mittai. Bombay Mittai story revolves around two youngsters who want big money through any possible way. Suresh (Vinu Mohan) and Sulaiman (Harisree Ashokan) tries their luck in exporting snake venom, Nagamnaickyam etc. Suresh is a gifted singer and hails from a Singer family. The famous Ghazal artist Mallika Mansoor (Amar Singh) is found to be murdered and the investigations point directly at Suresh and Sulaiman. Rehana (Neelambari Perumal) is Mallika's daughter who makes her own inquiries into her father's murder finds out the real culprits and saves the youngsters from the police. Dimple Kapadia plays the role of Amar Singh's wife in Bombay Mittai. Bombay Mittai is produced by U Pradeep and Rajesh Malakka under the banner IMM Films and is distributed by Gokulam Gopalan of Sri Gokulam Movies.
