Vimala college, Thrissur is a First Grade, Residential, Women's College affiliated to the University of Calicut. It is situated in Vilvattom Village of Thrissur Thaluk, Thrissur Corporation. Bifurcated in 1967 from St. Mary's College, Thrissur as a Degree College it now offers Under Graduate and Post -Graduate courses.

Vimala College is a Christian College under the Management of the Nirmala Province, Thrissur, Kerala of C.M.C. (The Congregation of Mother Carmel) in the Roman Catholic Church.

The College is under the religious jurisdiction of the Catholic Bishop of Thrissur. 'Vimala stands for the 'Immaculate Conception' her motto being "Veritas et Amor" - Truth and Love.

The College has been accredited at FIVE STAR level by the NAAC Bangalore and adjudged by the Govt. of Kerala to receive "R. Sankar Award" for the best special grade (Private) College in the State.
