St. Aloysius College, Elthuruth, is a first grade college affiliated to the University of Calicut. It is run by Fathers who belong to the congregation of Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI) founded by Blessed Kuriakose Elias Chavara.

The College was accredited at the B+ level in 2004. Today St. Aloysius College is an institution of higher education under the University of Calicut with six undergraduate courses (Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Zoology, Economics and Commerce) and four post-graduate courses (Economics, English, Zoology and Commerce).
