St. Thomas College of Teacher Education, Pala is a teacher education institution accredited at the 4 star level by NAAC. St. Thomas College of Teacher Education, Pala was established in 1957 and is also one of the pioneer institutions in the field of teacher education.

It was started to meet a precise need, ie. to train teachers for the secondary and Higher Secondary schools in our country. From the academic year 2005-2006 we are offering M.Ed. Course also on self-financing mode. B.Ed. & M.Ed. courses are offered here.

The B. Ed Degree course will be of one-year duration comprising practice teaching for 30 working days. M.Ed. is a one year full time Semester Course.

The college is situated in Kottayam District, Kerala State. It is by the side of Ettumanoor Poonjar State Highway and is 1 km away from Pala town and 30 km from nearest railway station Kottayam.
