The college is affiliated to the University of Kerala. Marian Engineering College offers four year (8 semester) B Tech. Degree courses in 5 branches.

The Institute stretches over 40 acre verdant campus in the neighbourhood of Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, Techno Park, Kinfra Apparels and other renowned institutions.

The college is being managed by the Trivandrum Social Service Society through a Governing Body and an Advisory Body consisting of Educationalists and Professionals.

The institution is under the control of Trivandrum Latin Catholic Arch Diocese. His Grace Most Rev. Dr. M Soosa Pakiam, the Arch Bishop of Trivandrum is the Patron of the College.
